The events that occurred yesterday are, yet another, reminder of how amazing our God is. Allow me to explain. So I have worked at Fox and Hound for over a year and half now, the longest I’ve ever worked at one place. It has had its moments, but  what job doesn’t. And for the most part I have enjoyed going to work, the girls I work with have definitely made it worthwhile. If you happen to read previous posts I wrote about some really cool moments with them. So all in all, I’ve been happy with my job and had no intentions of leaving, but God had other plans. About a month ago, my friend Lisa told me she was having a baby (yay!) and wouldn’t be able to work full time at her shoe store and they would need to hire someone else. Without even giving it a second thought I volunteered. Me working in a shoe store = a fat kid working at Coldstone…it doesn’t get much better than that. I was a little worried about how my two job schedules would fit together, but the restaurant is usually pretty flexible. Well yesterday I went into Fox and Hound to work a double. And talking to my manager I found out we were coming out with a new menu. She had it in her hands so I took a peek. It was black and in big pink letters it said “X-Rated” on the cover. And it was! Somehow they successfully turned a restaurant menu into porn. After seeing that I knew I would no longer be a Fox and Hound employee, even though all the girls tried to convince me it wasn’t that bad. But no matter what the reasoning is behind it, I do not feel comfortable selling “pink tacos” to someone. But the point of this blog is not to show how my restaurant is turning into a strip club. While I  was getting ready to leave the restaurant I realized something. God knew this “menu” change was coming and set me up with a new job before I even knew I needed one. Thats pretty amazing, and it just goes to show that God doesn’t expect us to just do the right thing completely alone. He always provides a way out, mine happened to be a shoe store in Cherry Creek! Thanks God!
