First we blind folded Carrie, and she’s still sitting here blind folded because we haven’t decided what to do with her yet…then Kathie got her braces off and now Bryan and I are going to have to start killing boys. And then my beautiful, thoughtful mother sent me the amazing Lucky shirt that I am wearing in the picture above! What a wonderful day!!!

Today the beautiful Carrie Hayes turns 21!!!!!! And as I type this she is twirling circles to The Rocket Summer!

This being my first Easter away from the family I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. But I had my Easter bonnet on so I was ready for anything. Church was really good, Pastor Reece spoke really well. Yet, when church was over and everyone began to go their separate ways to celebrate, I realized I had no where to go but back to my little apartment with my roommate. But then Carrie and I got an invitation to join the Brage’s for their Easter festivities, and of course we accepted. The remainder of the day was like no other. We sat outside and chatted while enjoying the gorgeous weather, then Carrie and I helped out a little in the kitchen (what we could, because neither of us can really cook 
) But the real fun started once lunch was served. We had lamb. Let me pause there. And it was amazing! This was Carrie’s first experience with lamb, and I’m convinced it was one she will never forget. Other than the amazing food, we had some pretty hilarious conversations. I love seeing people in their own family environment, you can really learn a lot about a person by how they interact with their family. So after going back to seconds…and thirds…and maybe fourths, we all retired to the living room to watch Hook. It wasn’t long before we were all in a deep food coma. If I have to be an orphan on a holiday I can’t think of any other way to spend it! Thank you Brage’s for making my Easter amazing.
Today, March 15th, will be a day to remember! Today I ate an entire Chipotle burrito in one sitting! I can now die peacefully.
